EBay Sales Review: 2010 Topps Baseball Series I Base Set

  Topps has released series I of it's 2010 baseball card. The regular Topps release is a favorite among collectors. This article will track the sales price on EBay of series I base sets from Feb 1, 2010 to Feb 7, 2010. Sales from auction and fixed price listings will be reviewed. The series I base set consists of card number 1 to 330. The prices used include shipping charges. Only listings for one complete set were used. There were listings for sets that included inserts and I have not used them for this article.

February 1

 Seven sets were sold on the 1st. The price range was $19.37 to 36.38. The average selling price was $26.18.

February 2

 Five sets sold on the 2nd. The price range was $23.79 to $31.38. The average selling price was $26.46. The average was up .28 from the 1st. The difference between the high and low prices also narrowed.

February 3

 Eight sets sold on the 3rd. The price range was $24.00 to $32.99. The average selling price was $27.31. The average selling price jumped .85. The low price went up .21 and the high price went up $1.61.

February 4

 Six sets sold on the 4th. The price range was $22.99 to $33.09. The average selling price was $27.98. The average selling price was up .67. The low price dropped by $1.01 and the high price rose by .10.

February 5

 Eleven sets sold on the 5th. The price range was $24.10 to $30.48. The average selling price was $26.77. The average selling price dropped $1.21. This is the first daily since we began tracking prices. The low price rose by $1.11 and the high price dropped by $2.61.

February 6

 Eight sets sold on the 6th. The price range was $21.05 to $32.76. The average selling price was $26.42. The average selling price dropped by .35. This was the second straight day the average price dropped. The low price dropped by $3.05 and the high price rose by $2.28.

February 7

 Forteen sets sold on the 7th. The price range was $19.77 to $28.50. The average selling price was $24.33. The average price dropped by $2.09. The high price dropped by $4.26 and the low price dropped by $1.28.

Summary

 The average selling price for these sets peaked on the 4th and has declined since then. The low selling price has gone up and down. It was at it's highest level on the 5th. The high selling price had stayed above $30.00 until the 7th. Then dropped to $28.50. If you are looking to buy this set there are bargains available. The spread between high and low shows that. Be patient and get a bargain on this set.
